Tioga Central Construction Project UPDATE for 6/22/18
Summer is finally here and that means construction will be
ramping up considerably! Beginning Monday June 25th the
entire back parking lot and the access road from Fifth Ave will be closed for
milling and paving. The High School and Middle School main entrances will also
be closed until further notice. The business and district offices
continue to be located in the MS computer laboratory near the nurse’s
station. We have also relocated the MS office inside the nurse’s station
and moved the HS office to the learning center/library. Starting
June 25th the doors near the nurse’s station between the HS and MS
will be the only available entrance for any offices or programs in the MS or HS
including summer rec and credit recovery.
The HS cafeteria will be tented off for asbestos abatement
as well as the MS downstairs office and hallway area. You should also see
a new ramp and railings appear at the main MS entrance while demolition begins
on the district office at the front of the HS. Work at the PreK building
continues as new walls are completed and old sidewalks are pulled up. We
will also see the beginning of day-shift work inside the schools including our
major technology upgrades to security, phones, clocks, and wireless access
points. If you need to come to the district for any reason, please
obey all signs and be careful around construction areas and equipment. Thank
