Tioga School Garden Event
New York State Kicks Off NY Thursdays
Locally Sourced School Lunch Program 
New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets joins Broome Tioga BOCES to kick off the very first locally sourced NY Thursdays lunch program in Upstate New York.
With support from the State's Farm-to-School Program, five districts in Broome and Tioga Counties will serve food sourced from Southern Tier farms and processors to their more than 10,000 students.  The Farm-to-School Program supports the region's Southern Tier Soaring economic development plan.
When:  Thursday, September 21, 10:30 a.m.
**A 100% local lunch will follow at Noon**

Superintendent Search

The Tioga Central School Board is in the process of searching for a new superintendent. The Board has contracted with Allen Buyck, CEO and District Superintendent of Broome-Tioga BOCES, to conduct the search. The Board hopes to have the new superintendent begin in January 2018. Future Fair

   We are happy to announce our second annual




The Financial Aid presentation will begin at 6pm in the middle school auditorium; immediately following you can meet with college representatives of your choice, along with some military branches and a few local employers, in the high school cafeteria.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get helpful information without having to travel! We have OVER 20 college reps coming to our fair, including BU, Geneseo, Alfred State, SUNY Broome, Corning CC, Oneonta, Delhi, TC3 and MANY MORE!

PSAT – 8am –11 am - October 11th – in the Middle School Auditorium

  • Students in grades 10th and 11th can take this exam.
  • They must pre register. The cost is $16.
  • Make checks payable to Tioga Central School.
  • All students must register with Mrs. Worthing in the Guidance Office.

Upstate School Report

The Buffalo Business News has completed its annual Upstate School Report. Tioga Central continues to fair well when compared to the 42 districts in our region and the 430 districts in upstate New York.

Tioga is ranked 9th in the Achievement Index – a measure of academic performance relative to district poverty rate.

In the cost effectiveness comparison, the measure rates districts on academic performance relative to district expenditures. Tioga is rated 3rd most cost effective in the region.

In the administrative efficiency comparison, the cost impact of Administrators compared to overall district expenditures, Tioga Central rates 8th best in the region.

Finally, Tioga Central’s overall academic performance rates at 10th in the region.

TCSD Recognition

The Tioga Senior High School has recently been recognized by The US News and World Report as a Bronze Medal recipient in their annual national high school ranking.

Data released by the NYS Education Department shows TCSD's 2015-16 graduation rate to be 91%
